Widelfry Lendof with 5 years old has diagnosed bilateral femoral and internal tibial torsion.
He will be operated in the "Asociación Dominicana de Rehabilitación (ADR)".
Widelfry, a 6 year old boy from Navarrete, was diagnosed with bilateral tibial and femoral torsion; a condition that made it impossible for him to walk. He was operated on by an orthopedic surgeon at the Dominican Rehab Association in February 2016. The surgery was successful and he was discharged home the next day, with casts in both legs and a follow-up appointment scheduled a month after the procedure. At that time, the casts were removed and splints were used to fixate the legs in a straight position. He has been receiving physical therapy to work on his muscle strength and, today, he is finally able to walk. Sometimes, even dance! Now, Widelfry needs another surgery to retrieve the metals inserted by the surgeon back in February. We are looking forward to help him accomplish this!
